I ran across this website called hipsterfunoff.com during my daily websurfing routine (i think i was trying to figure out what the hell blog-house means). upon first glance, i relegated it to run of the mill music blog fare. but scrolling through it further, it became clear that hipsterunoff.com was a different thing entirely. it’s either the most grotesque example of snide hipster cynicism i’ve ever seen, or its most glorious satire. it really is impossible for me to tell though. or maybe i’m thinking about it all wrong. maybe the line between cynicism and satire has already been eviscerated?

can someone enlighten me?

My friend Karla Santos will be unveiling her video/performance installation entitled ‘The Road To Heaven’ this Saturday at the Fulcrum Gallery in Tacoma. It should be quite rad. I, along with a few other peoples contributed to the piece (I took on the music duties). I hope if you are reading this you can make it out there. The piece will be showing for one week only!

Hopefully this blog won’t turn out like so many blogs I’ve started in my free time – that is – barely starting them at all. But perhaps its just the ephemeral nature of the internet. Anyways, my aim is to make this a mishmash of various things – new songs, pictures, thoughts, flights of fancy, etc. I’m playing a show this friday and my roommate was thinking about filming some of it, so who knows maybe I’ll put that on here too. I like to write random shit too that pops into my head. Like this morning I was reading this article in rolling stone about britney spears that was actually kinda good. maybe i’ll write what i think about that sometime. okay!
